Starting Jan 1st 2010 I’ll be designing something everyday, and posting it on a new blog called '365 Designs'. I’ll also be tweeting each design using the #daily365 tag from my normal twitter account (@Ogvidius) rather than setting up a new one.
I was inspired to start this challenge by this awesome article:
The idea is that, by designing something small every day you can get a lot of practise in, as well as having to keep ideas flowing every day. It's also a great way to practise not just the designing skills, but the skill of thinking of ideas, and having to think of a new one each day!
So check on 365designs.tumblr.com each day, starting Jan 1st 2010 and hopefully you'll find a small, creative little bundle each day!
I've been working on the design for the past couple of days, which is a modified version of the Papercut theme by Peter Vidani. I made it bigger, faster, dynamic in size, cleaner and generally nicer looking.
I've also included a comments system using Disqus, and then fiddled around a lot to get the number of comments to show up in a red circle on the left, which took around 2 hours (it's harder than it looks!). The header is also my design, and I changed the footer a bit to make it more mmmmm.
